Overview

About this course

Heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB) or menorrhagia is the most common manifestation of abnormal uterine bleeding experienced by women. Properly evaluating patients through a comprehensive clinical history and physical examination, in conjunction with diagnostic investigations, is pivotal in effectively addressing HMB. Therapeutic options, such as combined oral contraceptive pills and the use of intrauterine device, should be presented to patients to facilitate shared decision-making to achieve optimal care and therapeutic outcomes.

This e-learning module aims to discuss heavy menstrual bleeding and the diagnostic and treatment approach for this condition.
