Overview

About this course

The goal of this learning activity is to provide doctors with an overview of sore throat, the mechanism of inflammation-associated sore throat pain and the importance of symptomatic treatment of sore throat as an integral part of sore throat management. Upon completing this module, participants will have a better understanding of the following aspects:

  • The aetiologic agent of sore throat
  • The mechanism of inflammation-associated sore throat pain
  • The mechanistic pathways for inflammation-associated pain relief
