About

Melasma, a common pigmentary skin condition, is characterised by an acquired diffuse light or dark-brown hyperpigmentation occurring in areas exposed to the sun, particularly in the face. Patients with melasma reported strong psychological and emotional impacts on their quality of life. Improving the knowledge of the diagnosis and management of melasma will effectively enhance patient outcomes.

Upon completing this module, participants will have a better understanding of:

  • The features and differential diagnoses of melasma
  • Treatments and management guidelines
  • Other approaches to managing melasma (via case sharing)
