The goal of this learning activity is to provide pharmacists with a concise review on the role of anti-inflammatory lozenges for symptomatic management of acute pharyngitis. Upon completing this module, participants will have a better understanding of the following aspects:
• The epidemiology and burden of acute pharyngitis
• The role of pharmacists in managing acute pharyngitis
• The importance of treating inflammation to provide effective symptomatic relief
• The role of anti-inflammatory lozenges for the effective relief of sore throat
