Prediabetes may be one of several conditions that occur as part of metabolic syndrome and increases the risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease. This learning activity aims to provide insights into the modifiable risk factors of prediabetes and metabolic syndrome, highlighting the role of nutrition as part of lifestyle intervention. This includes individualised medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and meal replacements.
