Overview

NEW!

The nutritional status of critically ill surgical patients deteriorates rapidly after admission as a result of severe catabolism, even among well-nourished patients. As such, perioperative nutritional therapy plays a significant role in strengthening recovery and improving patient outcomes, particularly among patients with malnutrition and those at nutritional risk. This lecture course provides evidenced-based support to dispel common myths surrounding perioperative nutrition practices and delivery. In addition, the course also offers some practical, up-to-date advice for best practices in patient care.
