Acute pharyngitis is a common reason for seeking medical care in the outpatient setting. Pharmacists are well positioned to improve outcomes for patients with acute pharyngitis through the provision of appropriate symptomatic management and therapy.

 Upon completing this module, participants will have a better understanding of the following aspects:
• Global and local impact of acute pharyngitis
• Aetiology and symptoms
• Current approaches in the symptomatic management of acute pharyngitis
