The goal of this learning activity is to provide doctors with an overview of hypertension as a precursor to major
cardiovascular events such as heart failure, and the importance of selective β1-adrenergic antagonists as a
pharmacological approach to hypertension management.

Importance of lowering blood pressure and managing hypertension with a pharmacological approach
