Overview

About this course

According to the Global Burden of Disease Study, low back pain is one of the leading causes of years lived with disability worldwide since the 1990s. A person’s occupation, his personal risk factors, and general health condition may contribute to the development of this condition. As such, a thorough history, coupled with certain diagnostic maneuvers, is vital in assessing low back pain. Its appropriate management, on the other hand, is based on the chronicity of the disease and specific interventions that vary based on its time course.

This e-learning module aims to discuss the common risk factors, clinical features, and management approach to mechanical low back pain.
